Just imagine how avant garde that dress was for 1925. Amazing.
Vionnet was a pioneer-- her life story is incredible. If you are in Paris between now and January, there is a gorgeous exhibit of her work on at La Musee de la Mode et du Textile in the Louvre. Worth the trip!
